The Education Commission assists the church in achieving the highest goals in Christian scholarship and maturity. The commission also plans and coordinates educational activities for children and youth.
The Fellowship & Recreation Commission assists the church in a creative program of fellowship and recreation. It plans and coordinates special fellowship meals and Picnic Sunday.
The Missions Commission assists the church in planning mission-related activities and promoting positive convention relations. The commission plans some of the following mission activities: Martha’s Table, Warm Nights, Habitat for Humanity and Souper Bowl of Caring.
The Outreach Commission assists the church in the planning, promoting and overseeing of programs to reach out to and welcome new church members.
The Property & Space Commission assists the church in the care and upkeep of the property. The commission coordinates community use of the building.
The Worship & Music Commission assists the pastor in planning meaningful worship experiences.
The Stewardship, Budget, and Finance Commission – Administers the fiscal program of the church commensurate with the principles of Christian stewardship.
The Audio Committee records weekly worship services, sets up and takes down audio equipment each week.
The Children and Youth Ministry plans activities and explores worship opportunities for both the children and youth in our church.
The Flower Committee coordinates weekly floral arrangements and seasonal decorations.
The Nursery Committee coordinates the volunteer schedule and determines principles of operation for the nursery.
The Care Needs Committee arranges food donations and similar material help for repasts, those returning home from the hospital, new babies, and other specific needs as they arise.
The Village Voice Committee prepares the monthly newsletter.

Through disciplined study, we seek to build a Biblical foundation that will bring persons to faith in God and help them grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Villagers strive to lead the charge for Christian maturity, which engages us in the ministry of the Great Commission while strengthening the bond of our fellowship.

The Little Lambs class serves 4 and 5 year olds. Using the curriculum of “Grow, Serve and Learn,” we share the stories of Scripture though art, music and drama.

The Early Elementary class serves first through third graders, utilizing the “One Room Sunday School” guide, which teaches the children to grow in faith by leaps and bounds. The children are encouraged to memorize Scripture and to apply these stories to their lives.

The Upper Elementary class serves grades four though eight and uses the “Proclaim, Serve and Grow Tweens” curriculum. It teaches a full faith experience through Bible stories, games and activities.

The Junior and High School class serves grades nine through twelve, helping teens to meet God face to face in relevant and time-tested ways through the Bible-based “Encounter” curriculum.

The Adult I class Is a Bible study group that uses various mediums to work through the ways in which Scripture applies to the lives of believers in today’s world.

The Seekers class serves adults though small group study, incorporating videos and real life issues as they seek to balance their faith with the demands of family.

Music

Music is a critical part of worship. We are supported by a team of dedicated musicians that truly make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Cantatas are performed twice a year. The worship dancers and children are regularly incorporated into the program. We have an adult choir and a children's singing time that incorporate music into the lives of our congregation.

Worship Dance

The Worship Dance Ensemble participates regularly in Sunday services at Village. The original choreography for the Ensemble is arranged by ballet teacher Leslie Parreco. The group uses signing and traditional dance movements to convey the messages of a variety of sacred music.

Youth

Young. Fun. Trending. The youth of Village are embracing the joys and challenges of teen life with the strength of their faith. Join in the rush to grow up… into mature disciples of our Lord Jesus.
It takes a Village, a group of loving and supportive believers to serve our youth. Teenagers are faced with overwhelming demands, seemingly endless expectations, questions, stressors and challenges. Village is here to support our youth because they are the future of the church. We provide a nurturing and fun environment from nursery through Senior High. Village provides Sunday School classroom activities to stimulate learning and demonstrate the love of Jesus. Our young people are encouraged to share their talents in worship. Every year they lead the worship on Youth Sunday. There are lots of fun activities too.

Children

At Village, we believe that little children can come to Jesus. We offer both nursery services and children’s worship in the spirit of and in service to Christ. We provide our infants, toddlers and children with care that is nurturing, compassionate and professional. Our trained staff seeks to affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every child. We believe that children are a blessing from God and we are ready to receive them during both services. So, let the little children come!

We reserve the right to play!

We want your child to feel safe with us and at home in the house of God. We have created a warm and friendly environment, complete with age and developmentally appropriate, toys, games and multimedia resources. All toys are disinfected after each use.

Our staff receives professional training and spiritual support in their services to our little Villagers. They receive background checks, evaluations, encouragement and constructive feedback.

Only parents and legal guardians are allowed to drop off and pick up a child. In our nursery, all children must be checked in. The process includes signing the child in, completing a name tag and placing it on the back of your child’s clothing. We also ask that you inform our nursery workers of any allergies, special needs and concerns your child may have.

When the worship service has ended, we will return your child to you, grateful for the opportunity to share in your delight and their development: giggling, running, jumping, hopping, laughing, talking and learning.

For older children who attend services with their parents we have a message for them too! At each service, the children receive a message from one of our energetic and gifted storytellers. Afterwards, we encourage our four to ten year olds to join our Children’s Church leaders for a Bible story and fun activities. We also offer Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. for ages 4 and up and Vacation Bible School in the summer.
