Warm Nights at
Village - 2007
In March, 2007, Village hosted about 25 homeless residents for a
week as part of the Prince Georges County Warm Nights program.
Cots and bedding
were provided by the county. Village provided sleeping and dining
space. Each day, dinner, breakfast, and a bag lunch were provided
by a number of local churches in the Bowie area, including
Village. Many Villagers, of all ages, pitched in to help with
serving meals.
One of the cakes Villagers brought for Warm Nights.
The King will reply, ‘I tell you the
truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers or
sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40
