Finding your way. |
The map on our main Web page can help you find Village. The parking lot has plenty of space, including handicapped spaces. Our building is fully accessible. Inside the front door there is a coat room to the left and rest rooms down either hallway. The sanctuary is straight ahead. An usher will give you a bulletin and answer any questions you might have. There is a table by the doors with information for visitors (and a small gift bag to take with you). |
|
How we treat visitors. |
As our motto says, "We reserve the right to accept everybody." We will not ask you to stand or do anything special. We do have an attendance sheet that you are welcome to sign if you choose. Village tries to have a family atmosphere, and we treat our visitors as welcome guests. |
|
Dress code? |
Not at Village. We are a "come as you are" church. Wear whatever is comfortable. You will see Villagers wearing everything from casual jeans and shirts to dresses and suits. |
|
Children |
Village has child care with professional caregivers for younger children. Just head down the hall to the left as you enter the building. Older children are welcome in the worship service, which includes a children's story every week. There is a special children's church time in a separate room after that story for 4-5 year olds. |
|
Worship |
The worship services are described in detail in the bulletins. They include announcements, prayer time, songs, an offering, special music, the children's story, scripture reading, and a sermon. Although we do "pass the plate" for the offering, we do not expect visitors to contribute unless they feel so moved. All worship activities at Village are open to guests as well as members. |
|
Other activities |
Worship is just one part of what happens at Village. You will hear about opportunities for Bible Study (for all ages), mission projects, fellowship and recreation activities, youth programs, music programs, and others. |
