Pastor Bruce Salmon Retires
On
December 31, 2017, Pastor Bruce Salmon retired
after serving as pastor of Village Baptist
Church for 33 years. There is no good way to
share the profound impact he and his wife Linda
have had on Village. Below are a few
photos from the worship service and
reception. Pastor Salmon received
citations from the Governor of Maryland, the
Mayor of Bowie, and others. Some of the
youth who have grown up at Village sang their
own version of "We're Gonna Miss You When
Your're Gone." He and Linda presented a
new banner with the theme "Beloved Community" to
Village. His summary sermon (podcast HERE) emphasized
"God's Love Made Visible."
