Recognition of Gloria
Newton
Gloria Newton became secretary of Village
Baptist Church in 1977; in 2012 we celebrated her 35
years of outstanding service to the church. The Sunday
morning recognition included an original poem,
proclamations of congratulations from the City of
Bowie, the Maryland legislature, and the Governor of
Maryland, and presentations of some gifts to help her
celebrate the occasion. Here are a few photos
