The formal cornerstone laying was led by the traditional ceremony of The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland.  Above:  members of the Grand Lodge assembled for the ceremony.

In his remarks for the cornerstone laying, Grand Master Bennie G. Owens (center) emphasized  Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
